Drive Hours is designed to keep detailed GPS points on your device. Cloud backup stores driving-log summaries, not routes.
Information you provide
If you create an account, Drive Hours processes your name and email address. The app also stores settings and driving-log information you enter or record, such as dates, start and end times, day and night minutes, mileage, notes, and family-sharing relationships.
Location, motion, Bluetooth, and beacons
With your permission, Drive Hours uses location and motion information to calculate day/night time and optional mileage, detect significant movement, and support automatic-drive prompts. Bluetooth and BLE identifiers selected for automatic detection are stored on your device. Automatic detection may use location while the app is closed or not in use. GPS route points are processed locally and are not uploaded to Drive Hours cloud storage or provided to advertisers.
Accounts, cloud backup, and family sharing
Google Firebase provides authentication and, for Premium users, cloud backup and multi-device synchronization. You may sign in using email and password, Google, or Apple. When family sharing is enabled, approved parents or supervisors can view a learner's shared progress and driving-log summaries in Drive Hours. They do not receive the learner's password or GPS route points.
Advertising and purchases
The free version displays Google AdMob ads. Drive Hours requests non-personalized, general-audience ads and applies age-restricted treatment. Google may process device identifiers, approximate location derived from network information, diagnostics, and ad interactions to deliver, secure, and measure ads. Google Play processes Premium purchases; Drive Hours receives purchase status but does not receive full payment-card details.
How information is used
Information is used to operate the driving log, calculate progress, provide requested exports, maintain accounts, synchronize eligible Premium data, enable family sharing, prevent abuse, and provide support. Drive Hours does not sell personal information.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. Cloud data remains while your account is active. You can permanently delete your Drive Hours account and operational cloud data from Settings. Limited copies may remain temporarily in service-provider backups or security logs according to provider retention requirements.

Teen privacy
Drive Hours is intended for learner drivers age 13 and older and their parents or guardians. A parent or guardian should review account creation, automatic detection, family sharing, and Premium purchases with a minor. The app is not directed to children under 13.
Security and service providers
Drive Hours uses reasonable safeguards and encryption in transit. No service can guarantee absolute security. Core providers include Google Firebase, Google Sign-In, Google Play, and Google AdMob; Apple provides Apple sign-in when selected. These providers process information under their own privacy terms.
Your choices
You can disable mileage, automatic detection modes, cloud backup, or family sharing in the app. Android system settings let you change location, motion, notification, and nearby-device permissions. You may export your driving log before deleting an account.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated as Drive Hours changes. Material updates will be reflected by a new effective date. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to DH@bluegroup.rent.
